Norman Binkley Student Handbook

Welcome to Norman Binkley Elementary School

Meet our new principal, James Urquhart!

The faculty and staff of Norman Binkley work with over 500 children daily in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. We strive to provide the children with a safe, child-centered school that promotes success in academic areas and in being responsible citizens.

Our teachers utilize various teaching methods that address the needs of each child. In addition to the classroom teachers, a Title I tutor, and a  Title I Instructional Specialist  work with children to encourage success in reading and math. We are excited about these programs; our goal is that all children develop a strong foundation in reading/language, writing, and math, as well as in science and social studies. Learning to apply knowledge and making wise choices is also stressed.

Parents are asked and encouraged to be partners with us as we work with their children. Volunteers are always welcome. An active P.T.A. helps provide materials that enhance our classes. Learning is a happy experience at Norman Binkley!
