Wiggins For as long as I can remember, I have loved school. As a child, I remember “playing” school with my friends, brothers and dolls. Of course, whenever we played I always wanted to be the teacher! I loved going to school as a child and I never wanted to miss a single day. When I became a college student I quickly realized that teaching was the right path for me.

I earned a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Middle Tennessee State University. I began my teaching career in 2001 right here at Norman Binkley Elementary. I started out in the regular kindergarten classroom. Upon entering my second year I decided to go back to school and get my certification to teach English Language Learners. I have been teaching kindergarten ELL ever since then, and I love every minute of it. In August 2006 I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Tennessee State University. I plan to continue my educational journey in the not-so-distant future.

I was born in Ypsilanti Michigan and I moved to Tennessee with my family during my Junior year of high school. I have been married for two years and my husband and I bought our first house right here in Nashville just over a year ago. We do not have children yet, but we are planning on starting a family soon. We do have one very large and very lazy cat named Miss Kitty.

In my free time I enjoy reading, shopping and watching movies. On hot and sunny days I like to swim and relax by the pool.
